Solution 1- Update your QuickBooks version

An outdated version of QuickBooks can be a potential reason for this error in your QuickBooks. You should always use the latest version of QuickBooks on your PC, the steps to update the software are-

  1. Close your company files in QuickBooks.
  2. Type ‘QuickBooks’ in the search panel located on the Taskbar.
  3. Right-Click on the QuickBooks icon in the search results and click on Run as administrator.
  4. Go to the Help menu and click on Update QuickBooks Desktop Option.
  5. Under the Options tab, click on the checkbox for Mark all and click Save to update all the services.
  6. Select the Update now tab and check the box for Reset Update.
  7. Click on Get Updates.
  8. Open your QuickBooks and select Install Now/Yes when asked to install the update.

Solution 2- Switch to single-user mode
