Ashutosh Ramnarayan Neekhra, better known by his stage name Ashutosh Rana, is an Indian actor, producer, author, and television personality. He was born on November 10, 1967. He’s also been on Indian television. For Dushman and Sangharsh, he also received two Filmfare Awards. These honors were given to him in the category of Filmfare Awards for a negative role & scariest villain in Bollywood.

He is also a novelist in addition to being an actor. He wrote several works, including ‘Maun Muskaan Ki Maar’ and ‘Ramrajya.’

Native place & Education:

Rana comes from the Madhya Pradesh city of Gadarwara, which is part of the Narsinghpur district. He was born and raised in Gadarwara, where he completed his basic education. In local Ramleela shows, he used to portray the part of Ravana. He studied acting at the National School of Drama in New Delhi. In Prithvi Theatre, he has performed in numerous plays alongside Satyadev Dubey. 

Family:

Renuka Shahane, a Bollywood actress, is Rana’s wife. Shauryaman and Satyendra are their two sons.

Career Debut:

Rana began his acting career with the television series Swabhimaan, then went on to star in Farz, Sazish, Jax Kabhi, Waris, and host Baazi Kiski. He also presented the reality program Sarkaar Ki Duniya, which was filmed on Mango Island in Karwar, Karnataka. Later, in 2010, he appeared in the Star Plus drama Kaali- Ek Agnipariksha as Thakral, in which he portrayed a villainous character. He also starred in the Doordarshan TV series Apradhi Koun, in which he played the lead character.

Despite being a supporting character, the actor has always been the star of every Bollywood film. While we witness a lot of new villains and dads on film, it was Ashutosh Rana who pioneered the path in Bollywood by introducing the craziest & scariest villains of Bollywood. Ashutosh’s wife Renuka mentioned on a recent episode of Kapil Sharma that she was afraid the first time she saw him since she had just seen his film Sangharsh. 

Many people still have nightmares over his part in the movie Sangharsh. Ashutosh Rana portrays a transgender woman and does a fantastic job. He has been dubbed the scariest villain in Bollywood since his spectacular performance. Wearing the red saree, nose pin, and pallu with ease and speaking the fiery lines in opposition to Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta is jaw-dropping.

In the movie, Dushman Ashutosh Rana portrays a psychopath. This is another film that will keep you up at night. The plot centers on twin sisters (Kajol), one of whom is shy and is raped and murdered by Gokul Pandit. Yes, Ashutosh Rana deserves a standing ovation for his performance as a cold-blooded, cruel assassin and rapist.

The  Sonchiriya was a surprise smash. The film, which starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pander, and Ashutosh Rana, was not a box-office success, but many who saw it strongly praised it. The Chambal ka daroga is one of kind. Ashutosh Rana reprises his role as an inspector, and his major goal is to murder these rebels to receive an award from the government and top police officers. And if you know his on-screen game, you know he’ll go to any extreme level to show himself correct.

Tarkeib -the film is old, yet it is well worth seeing again. Ashutosh Rana portrays a doctor who is suspected of being engaged in the murder of a young woman whose corpse has been disposed of. The dexterity with which Ashutosh Rana executes will fool you into thinking he isn’t participating. Tabu, Nana Patekar, and Milind Soman also feature in the film.

She began her horror odyssey with, and it remains one of the scariest Bollywood films to this day. Ashutosh Rana portrays a professor who is the first to learn about ghostly activities. It’s worth noting how he reacts when Bipasha dismisses this as a ghost play, as well as how he leaps following the vamp assault.

Chaudhary (Ashutosh Rana) played the role of a local Jat politician of  Maliabad(a small town in Uttar Pradesh) in the movie Shorgul. Everyone admires and respects him for fighting for their cause. On the other hand, Ranjit Om (Jimmy Sheirgill) is a new-generation MLA who is hell-bent on winning the forthcoming election. Ashutosh’s job is risky, and his performance is outstanding.

Ashutosh Rana has never shied away from a challenge. This was his first short film in Bollywood after a long stint in the Southern film business. In this 2018 film, Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter play Parvathy and Madhu, who fall in love, elope, and marry. Ashutosh plays Pavathy’s father, who committed honor killings by murdering his own daughter, grandson, and son-in-law.
