- On the wireless device, open a web browser and type extender.linksys.com in the URL box. To continue, type in the default username and password and click the Login button after the setup screen opens.

How to Reset Your Linksys Re6800 Extender?
There are typically two ways to reset your wireless extender to factory settings if you ever need to do so. Before resetting the settings, try disconnecting and reconnecting the device to see if it will reboot without needing to be adjusted.
- By pushing and holding the reset button for around eight seconds, you may physically reset the device. Unplug it, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it. You’ll have to re-enter your setup parameters.
- If you’re able to connect to the device, you may also reset it using the wireless connection. While connected to the device, use your web browser to connect to the Linksys extender IP address or extender.linksys.com address. Select “Administration,” then “Factory Defaults” from the menu. Select “Restore Factory Defaults” from the drop-down menu. Unplug the extender for 30 seconds before reconnecting it.
